After recently buying some new bike clothing it's dawned on me that I now have gear(helmet, suit gloves and boots) that would cost in the region of £2300 to replace!.
My current helmet/clothing insurance with Carole Nash has a limit of £1000 for accident damage only. They can't offer me an alternative policy.
I've tried Bikesure via the site link, again their limit is £1000.
Has anyone any suggestions regarding companies/brokers that can offer a policy with a more realistic amount of cover?
Thanks
Craig

Clobber Insurance

Ah ye but to put in on the house insurance means telling the better half just how much you spend on bike kit? :nenau

But seriously its the best option a lot of the house contents policy's have 2 to 3k of named / sports equipment insurance already in them.

But I rarely ride the bike in the house, note I did say rarely not never. Boy was she pissed off that day.

If you take your bike insurance through ourselves, then we can cover you up to £1000, £1500 or £2000.

If not, then you can take a stand alone policy with ourselves for up to £1000 of cover for £32.

You could then split the £2000 between Carol Nash and ourselves?

I have had bike insurance with you for 3 years, these options never came up, basic policy covered 1K. Perhaps you should make that a little easier to see then I might not have switched to Hastings this year?

We only offered up to £1000 of cover until very recently, hence why the option to cover more was never given to yourself.

Sorry we couldn't help you more at the time...
