I have just had a letter chasing a payment for a bike collection that never took place two years ago.

The business Chas Mortimer Ltd was wound up due to insolvency after Chas himself had sold it - he now trades as European Bike Transport and can be contacted on 07802217996

I thought he had a whole string of business failures over the years?

He must be in his mid 70s by now, but still appears to have several trading entities according to Google. EBT (see post #2) is a similar business model, operating in the NW, shipping out of Manchester weekly, run by one Tony Barker.

Hi I got a similar chaser letter myself about a year ago. I had paid them cash for a job around 3 years ago so it obviously didn't go through their books! I told them this and they haven't chased me anymore!!

OK, but it seems odd that Tony Barker has a Company based in the NW using the same trading name?

Is there a connection? Who are you & what is your relationship to Chas?
