Cheap is Definetly cheerful
Ok......... 2000 kilometer ride in the highlands..
tried the Lidl jacket for the first time..
and my first impressions are as follows
1. the jackets was cheap.... less than 70 euro
2. very functional, adjustable waist, wrists and arms
3. two waterproof pockets and an ipod/mp3 player or mobile phone pocket
4. removable neck warmer and inner jacket
5. Elbow, shoulder protection, no back protector.. I used the back protector from my usual jacket
After using this cheap and very useful jacket in high winds and very wet conditions I was very surprised at its performance...
It did keep me dry and worm (and I had removed the inner liner before the trip)....also removed the detachable neck warmer because I found it a little restrictive...
I was so impressed I went off today and bought a pair of the matching trousers...
If this product was a branded one you would be looking for minor faults (and paying a lot more) but because its cheap it hard to find a fault
Oh and just as a note the equipment that did let me down were.....
Dainese boots (feet were soaked).... and these are the most expensive bit of kit I own
Akito Dessert Trousers almost perfect but the zip-fly let them down.....

it may have something to do with the current economic environment that I went off a purchased the Lidl bargin jacket, but if its cheap and German made your on a winner.
