Bike Insurance for Morocco

Tim..you are a man of encyclopedic knowledge in the bike world......any thoughts on TCK70's.......Morocco bound but mainly road use....

very useful that James......lone rider...oh dear.... as a matter of interest did you get unleaded ok ??
Petrol stations are both plentiful and have unleaded. The only issue is that the pump attendants, (remember them?), will direct you to the one or two stands that are in use - absolutely no point in pulling up to a pump that has no queue, you'll only have to paddle your bike around to them.

Re your post about TKC70s - I was on an 800GS Adventure shod with Karoo 2s, and needed to replace the rear after 1,800 miles. The replacement was a Karoo 1, (not the best for tarmac and a bit noisy when pushed but great fun).

Others in our group were on a mixture of GSes and K1600s, nobody had any problems with tyres - despite several of the roads and bridges having been washed out in the recent storms, and approx 50-60 miles being on unmade/sand/erg/gravel tracks.

All the best, Jim.

Quick question... I'm with Hastings for my bike insurance so no extention for Morocco from them, someone said around £/€10 for 10 days but then it jumps to £/€75 for a month.
Is there no in between? Is it feasible to get 10 days, then get another 10 days later on during your trip?
I'm going to be in country for 11 days, I'd rather pays two £10's than one £75 if I can get away with it.

Unless matters have altered since March, you will have to either arrange insurance for the eleven nights before leaving the UK, or cough up the full month's premium on arrival at your port of entry.

In any event, the insurance I bought at Tangier Port for a full month, (14 nights in Morroco), was in all probability absolutely worthless beyond allowing me to comply with entry regulations.

If you can get insurance here go for it, (one of our group took out a new policy with a company who cover Morroco and, "lost, a month's cover on his existing policy).

All the best, Jim.

Some of my customers have received Green Cards for Morocco at a cost of £50 and fully comp. The insurance companies that have sent out Green Cards are

Carole Nash, Motorcycle Direct and LV. All are with Aviva.

Bizarrely Bennetts Insurance using Aviva would not give out a Green Card.

Spurred on by your post, I've just renewed my Carole Nash/Aviva policy (£20 cheaper than last year) and obtained a Green Card for up to 31 days in Morocco for £46.
Result.... :hogroast
