Bike lift

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been ratching around thinking of buying a bike lift for working on the GS, I dont want a full workbench type I dont have the room, was looking at something like a liftmaster or a clarke, but I'm not sure if the lift height is a bit restrictive(17.5''). anybody useing one ?, or any suggestions on an alternative

Thanks to all who contributed, some bits of kit to consider.

Note to Merchant banker, sorry the moderator who decided to play god and move it somewhere else, where I did originally look to put it but thought seeing how its to lift a GS, it may well get a better response in here, And if you really really want to apply the rules and want to keep this as a purely technical forum only, I suggest you take a scroll though and check them all, I have found 2 possibly 3 on the front page alone that you should maybe consider moving.:stopbeing

Looks easy enough & if your short of space, take it to bits

Very Good, but how the feck do you get the bike up there.

The clue was suppose to be in the heading, Bike LIFT

I know you said you didn't have room for a bench type lift, but one of these...

Is not bad. I use one and am also short on space. When I'm not using it, it flips onto its side and stores fairly flat against the garage wall.

For anyone thinking of buying one, machine mart normally have a 'vat free day' about every three months, if you subscribe to their catalogue, making it 20% cheaper.

The fork lift type use a power drill to turn a jack screw to pull the lift up.
