My cousin wants a little trip to Morocco in October and as he lives in the US, I'm happy for him to borrow my 1100GS for a few weeks.

Now, the V5 is obviously in my name and will that cause a problem crossing the border? I seem to recall that the last time I went, the V5 had to tie in with everything else but would like some conformation if anyone knows the story here:thumb

I just came back, and we didn't even have to produce a V5 or the Green Card Insurance to get though the border check, it was a little hectic but got there in the end...

Tim Cullis is the best man to answer :fridaywhat he don't know about Morocco aint worth knowing :P

As David says, simple letter, something like, "To whom it concerns, this letter is to confirm that I am the owner of BMW R1100GS motorcycle AA99 BBB and I have given permission to Joe Bloggs to use the motorcycle on holiday in a trip that will include France, Spain and Morocco. Signed......"

The more words and blarney the better.

They are more concerned with making sure you take the bike home with you, than whether your name is on the V5C.
