Bike Safe - June

Done this with our local police, it was really worthwhile and wasnt just police telling you to ride within the law it was really good picked up some good pointers.

Top tip ...

... if you work for a body corporate you can convince them to pay for your Bikesafe day as an Elf & Safety issue; stress that increased safety on the bike means less sick days and they'll snap your hand off. So gather all your biking colleagues and enjoy :thumb2

It was completely free in Wiltshire last September, so by that logic it must have been worthless :D

Really good day, I highly recommend it. Even the classroom stuff was OK.

The varying costs reflect the amount of financial support given locally.

Some Forces have to pay for a venue, some don’t.

We give attendees some goodies, including “Motorcycle Roadcraft” but the local council Road Safety Unit pick up the tab for that.

We provide a lunch for the attendees, but they pay for it through their course fee.

Thanks again for your time the last couple of Sundays Martyn. It took a long time to get on the course but it was well worth the wait.

Ive just done a Bikesafe workshop, it was very enjoyable. I was also pleased to discover i wasn't the most inexperienced one attending. There were a range of different bikers there, from someone who had only just passed their test, to guys who had been riding for decades. At 42yrs I was the youngest one there . After a while I started enjoying having a police bike following me. Great bunch of cops, and a brilliant day.
