bike starts,but stalls when put into gear?

Hi,new to the site having trouble with 2006 hp2 (only 600 miles on the clock)
bought the bike as a project (had very minor damage on the right hand side)
have replaced right hand rocker cover,put clocks from a 2006 bmw r1200gs on which has a rev counter(works great but abs lights flashing may have to disconnect that or cover it up with tape)also replaced handle bars,shaft housing (was scratched but not leaking)managed to get new keys cut from bmw.the bike has an intermittent stalling problem,it did it with the original clocks on (lcd screen was cracked but everything else worked)so managed to get some gs ones, i like to have a rev counter.have checked side stand switch and general stuff like that but have no leads yet .this is my first bmw and wonder if i am missing some thing !!! have built many bikes gpz1100,spondon 1260,1100efe drag bikes and also have mv agusta f4 750 with a 906 kit in,so i know my way round bikes .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

neutral switch faulty?

ive disconnected my side stand switch , but it wont start in gear, so ye nuteral switch might be shorted some wear , bit like the gpz used to do

Disconnect it.

Do a search (try advrider.com if not on here) for which wires to connect/disconnect (it's been a while since I did mine)

did jane have a black and purple 1100efe?long pony tail,then i have come across here.my bikes were for the road but i followed the straight liners.will

Disconnect it.

Short the white and brown ones, use a piece of wire cut to length then bend to a U shape, connect the wfite with the brown and tape it up properly.

yup she was the one always shoution at her feller coddy, she came off a special over 200mph on the offrun , sumat stuck , now shes all bashed up.

did yer run with nicky? hiabusa 400php bike

av run the melbourn strip wi me bandit a few times

will have a go at the bike on sat (will let you know if it works) whot times were you getting on your bandit? the best i ever got was 10.55 at 146 at the bulldog bash on the efe(wish i still had it) great in a straight line and very entertaining on the corners!

bandit 1200 96 model ,standard engine, running on slightly wet track , left hand side i think , one has a bump half way down

1st time out 11.57 seconds @124mph 1/4 mile
track got wetter so time went up..

didnt do it much , rubber cost too much

av had quite a few EFE 1100's great bike with gsxr1100, 750 running gear
