Bike table, lift or jack...

for the lack of a proper term. I want to build a table, same as used in workshops to lift the bike of the ground. Anybody ever build one of these? Do you have dimentional drawings or photos? Maybe something with a bottle-jack. I cannot spend any more of my wifes' money on bike stuff - I would prefer to build, rather than another big, new and expensive looking thing appearing in the garage. (When did you buy this? That? nah.. I've had it for years!) :nono
 
Two steel plates big enough for the bike. Then go to a scrap yard and get four hefty scissor type car jacks. one plate on the ground then a jack at each corner, plate on top, weld together. Job done :D

Great, if your a midget, and only want to lift the bike up 1ft . :D
