Hi all,
I am looking at making, hiring or borrowing a bike trailer, so i can bring gspd on hols with family to south west. Have welder, but concerned about wheels/suspension parts, do Indespension do kits? or anyone else. anyone built a trailer?
D

Indespension do great stuff. But it ain't cheap !

I've a 3 bike Broniss trailer if you want to call over & get some ideas sometime

Thanks Jockser, might do that, had a quick look in west wood today but didnt get to talk to anybody. checked local hardware/tools, ted johnson, and it looks like the component parts, (suspension/hubs, wheels, hitch etc) add up to silly money very quickly. going to look at small adds and ebay.

This is helpful.
Just came back from a camping trip. A guy from Oz had a trailer on his GS, thought it was a very clever solution to be able to carry my 5 man tent and put all the nice creature comforts I want when camping. He even had solar panels to charge his lap top!
Will follow this post with interest.

Bike Trailer

I have got one of these if you need inspiration. Great as both loading and unloading is a one man. Mine is the roro version. Take a look at a video of how it works

found a nice pair of wheels and solid stub axles, nearly new, i can scrounge from bruvver. would a solid axle be too bouncy?

Dermott, I'm working on something at the moment that might suit your needs, whether its ready before you head away or not is another question. I've lost your mobile no but if you pm it to me I'll give you a buzz tomorrow. :thumb2

borrowing a bike trailer

I fixated on the 'making' & didn't register the above :blast
You're more than welcome to borrow mine if Glenboy can't get his done in time, I just need to do a wheel bearing.
When d'ya need it ?
