Bike Video Camera

read and seen good results from Hero sport cam.
IMO
it needs good quality light and setting precisely to the angle that gives the best view. it is only a small unit and records to SD card

Ted ,

My mate bought one of those for a Nurburg' trip and it was unuseable on the GS because the vibrations upset the unit too much.

I have a Go Pro Hero. The quality is much better, the unit is better IMO due to the unique waterproof and dirt proof case it comes in and the Motorsports version comes with more mounts than you can shake a stick at . The only drawback is that it can be difficult to activate on the move and you are never sure that its recording unless you can stop and look closely for the red light in the viewfinder. Battery life can also be a problem.

I can lend you mine for a trial if you like :thumb

may or may not be of any use, but i recently saw something very close in argoss last week.£99
my thoughts were, use it, if its sh8t take it back for argos's excellent refund:thumb

in that you tube vid, do you thing the guy was pulling those trolleys behind him? sounds like it LMFAO:eek

i have the exact camera - it's fine - i didn't spend too long setting it up - but as prior post says vibrations were too severe for mounting on plastics at front of gs - i ended up velcro - ing it to the top of my lid -

good results - easy to use - :thumb2

Try R F Concepts, this company has been around a long time and there is not a lot they dont know about helmet cams.
If you have a decent camcorder with DV in DV out all you will need is the bullet cam, This connects to the camcorder in a tankbag or pannier. The quality will blow away the other SD yoke.
Also look at Archos they have MP4 players with a bullet cam.
I think someone had an archos for sale on here.

I`ve got one, you get what you pay for, the quality isn`t great. I mounted mine on the indicator stalk and found it to be okay on smooth roads, but if not it can be a bit jittery.
Also, when editing in Movie Maker, it ends up in countless parts making it a bugger to work with.
But on the whole, for ease of use and size, it`s not a bad buy.

ATC 2000

I bought the 2000 which is an earlier model but I believe the only difference is that the 3000 has a wider angle lens?

Anyway, I tried to use the thing on a trip into mainland Europe this year and it did my head in.It kept shutting down because of vibrations. The vibrations cause the batteries to move around and so the power gets cut off. I have read that the internal springs are not strong enough.I just stuck some paper into the battery compartment ,shifted the position of the camera from GSA engine guards to the rear case and it worked fine. The SD card on the 2000 must be formatted to FAT16 not 32 ,don't know if this is the case with the 3000.I have to say,now that my diy solution has worked ,I think its a pretty good all in one system.
