This is my Bikelug or Motolug foldable bike trailer, it's an early one when they called themselves Bikelug and they were plated as opposed to painted. I bought this as a nearly new item, probably about 18 years ago, looking at the date of manufacture. It's been brilliant; I've had other trailers in the meantime, but always kept this one because it needs so little space which makes it easy to live with.

That said, it originally came with 8" wheels which meant it always sat at a slight incline when towing and I was never really happy with the tiny tyres, so I upgraded them to 10" (along with a spare wheel) and it now sits dead level on tow. Other than that, I replaced the tow hitch a couple of years ago. It has always been stored under cover, but that amounts to a less than perfectly dry shed, so the bright plating has oxidised, but not rusted.

The images were taken exactly a year ago, I had a suspicion back then it might be the last time I used it, so I took a series of pics, just in case.

The reason for sale is, one crushed disc in my spine and another that is bulging, .....so I have to be sensible. I hate the thought of being without a trailer, but if it's there, I'll be tempted to use it and probably live to regret it.

It's a cracking piece of kit, with a large payload; brilliant if you go a long way to pick up a bike because you are only stuck in lanes one and two on the return leg, the only downside to them really is that they don't like being towed without a load..... so you need a car that will accommodate it folded.

I'm in Ivychurch, Kent, in the middle of Romney Marsh...... £275 buys it. Mick.

Cracking buy there for someone, about £1400 new these days. GLWS

Thank you, it's old but has spent the vast majority of its life in storage, I have used it three times in the last five years from memory.

Hopefully someone will have a use for it, I'd rather avoid the usual site....... Mick.
