Biker Down Incident Management and First Aid course specific to motorcycle riders at Leuchars Community Centre.

Thanks for the pointers. I saw these guys had a stand at the ingliston bike show. There's a few guys I ride with regularly in Clackmannanshire, we'll maybe do one of their sessions in South Queensferry.... 👍

There are sessions in SQ - where and when...?

Says so here buddy

Thanks Martin. Down at the Lifeboat Station on the front. Handy for the Bikers Cove crew. I lived in SQ for far too many years.

Looks interesting. Missed them at the bike show, but I was with a bunch of others so probably not paying an awful lot of attention at all.
My question would be:
Could I come and do two out of the three parts of the agenda - Scene Safety and the Science of Being Seen? I cannot do the first aid part because I get a bit wobbly and fainty at the sight of blood and gore. Good to know your limitations and all that.

I would very much hope you can. As a fireman for thirty years and working as either a fireman or medic for private companies. I have worked with numerous colleagues that don’t like the sight of blood, they have all carried out other equally important tasks at incidents. Not everyone needs to carry out the casualty care. Knowing what to do as regards traffic management etc are very useful things to know.

If you're coming down to Leuchars and passing the Melville Gates roundabout at the A91 / A92 junction, give me a shout, Charles. We're only 5 mins from there and I can put the kettle on if you bring the birthday cake. ;)

Sadly, as much as I would quite like to participate in this, I am a commissioner at this years General Assembly of the CofS, and it is the same week - 18-23 May in Edinburgh, upon the Mound.
I’ve been principal Steward at events in St. Andrew’s getting 5k folk moving into and around and out of a space there, as well being Chief Marshall for Hawick Common Riding for a number of years before I left. So my interest in the Scene Safety and the Science of Being Seen is something I am interested in. But not on 22nd May sadly.
