When we spent the morning with the Gardi (Bike Safe), one question most where interested in was the question of fish tailing through trafic, there is no law reguarding this maneuver according to the Garda, and I was wondering if it is the same up North.

I've just had a call from Bill Holden of the PSNI. Plans are well in advance for the Bike Safe day in Newry. A couple of lads from the Garda Síochána unit based at Dublin Castle will hopefully be coming up as well to take part in the assessments.

Can anyone who expressed an interest earlier in taking part but haven't posted in this thread please let me know if they are still interested in attending.

Thanks to all you guys and Sue this is looking pretty good.

You don't have to arrive at 9am on the day though. You can roll up at anytime between 9am and 2pm and be pretty sure of being taken out for an assessment straight away.

There should be 5 PSNI bikes and 2 Garda bikes there for the whole day so you shouldn't have to wait too long for a run out.

Please be sure to bring your driving licence and insurance with you though or you won't be able to take the run I'm afraid.
