Bilbao Port Exit

I’m far from a good sailor so I have taken the brave decision to meet my wife at Bilbao off the ferry.

Is anyone able to share a google pin for a location where she doesn’t have to drive too far from the port to meet me. She’s not confident at driving a LWB van . I’ll be flying to Bilbao and Uber-ing in. It’s not entirely clear on Street view where the cars exit the port.

Getting out of Bilbao port is a bloody nightmare. Last year there were major roadworks in the port, very badly signposted, and we spent a while just riding round bits of the port we probably shouldn't have been able to get to. It's a BIG port area.

If she can make it to the services on the Autopista, that would probably be better. Failing that, get a cab to drop you off near the immigration/customs controls and see how close you can get on foot. You won't be able to go 'airside', obviously, but might be able to get pretty close.

I agree with Ectopic,
A taxi driver will know where the exit is and if the exit is the same as the entry point,you could hang around outside,I departed a few years ago
and there are several roundabouts too be negotiated before the Motorway..

Alternatively, you could head round the corner from the port into Zierbena & meet up there. Couple of nice restaurants etc.

The exit from the the ferry is where you go through passport control. As above I reckon you could wait there for your wife. We used Google maps from there until Estepona.

There are only five lanes of exiting traffic (zoom into map) so you’d see her filtering to the passport booth.
