Thanks for those. Interesting that you got such poor service in Bishop. It's one of the few places in California that I experienced the same thing, in a tyre shop. I'm certainly not in a hurry to ever go back there again. Nice to see pics of Alice's as well. It's a must-stop whenever I've been in the Bay Area. My son's currently muttering about he and I going back in July next year and renting a couple of bikes again. I love riding in Northern California.

Thanks for burning the midnight oil to put your trip report together. Good photo journal and narrative. Sgt Bilcos tours look excellent, one day we hope to be able to do one. In the meantime you guys reporting will have to do keep up the good work
