For those following this and would like to do it next year, I'll more than likely be running this in the beginning of September 2012:thumb

Will settle the dates and details when we get back but it's so freakin good it would be rude not to do it again :D

If you are interested, send me a pm.

Sounds good but I'd being doing it on my gay Husky - is that ok?

2012 should also mean more dirt less tarmac as Sam is busy rewriting Tennessee to remove most of the roads that have been tarmacked. :thumb2

glad to see you've all been having a ball.

NICE PINK UMBRELLA :D

Why is she telling you to F-OFF Tim?

Stay safe and More pics! :thumb2

Looks like a fantastic trip but I honestly don't think I could cope with the those kind of mileages day after day on dirt.

WE'll be addressing that with a slightly different schedule which gives a bit more time off. However, it's a long way across and it's meant to be a test of man and machine:thumb

Day off yesterday for some bike maintainence and some of teh guys did the end of the trail into Salida which they missed the previous day. I hope they post some pix because it's a stunning run.

Here's a few shots of the bike garage at the Circle R Motel in Salida. The dust on teh trail is the big issue as you can see from my clogged filter and Skygods filter as he tapped what seemed like half of Oklahoma out of it:augie

Bikes are all good and one or two seemed to have the wrong impression when I said the KTM's are high maintainence. This is not an issue because they are one of the best bikes for the trip in my opinion and you just have to keep on top of the jobs that need doing. You can't afford to ignore any issues which happen that's for sure. Saying that, all the bikes have been good considering the hammering they are getting with Mikes Husky610 probably being the best overall for reliability.

We will stay in Salida for another day today and ride some local trails up to a 13,000ft local peak which should be cool in both senses:D
