Bilco's TAT tour 2011

How crazy is this?
I set off for the airport with Gary just after Mike returned;amazingly my first two flights to Denver and then Philadelphia went ahead as scheduled and even more unbelievably I JUST made the flight out of there which took off sometime after 18.30 rather than the scheduled 20.40 and so made it home by Sunday morning -didn't get invited to Tim's reunion tho'!!!
Richard

Sounds like you were very lucky Richard......you didn't get invited as due to your number of 'technical bag offs' I assumed you'd be sorted:D

What an awsome adventure. This was a brilliant trip with an amazing bunch of guys who helped me out so much and made it a great. Dispite the big off, which is still managing to bleed almost three weeks after it happened, I had a fantastic time. The roads and trails were great fun but what really made it was the people in the group. Massive thanks to all who rode, to Skygod for patching me up for over two weeks, Blue for picking me and the bike up so many times I lost count and the rest of the guys for their advice, help, encouragement and generally looking after me when I got into difficulty.

Anybody thinking of doing this trip, don't think - DO - you will not be dissapointed.

Chris, well done for organising the whole thing and running it, great job and I would reccommend it to anybody.

Back to work now after a 2 1/2 hour delay at Dallas changing a fuel filter (bet Mike would have done it quicker) and missed connections at Heathrow to find 237 e-mails in my inbox - I need a holiday.

For some reason . . . -you've obviously got too much time on your hands Mad Dog!

Ooh, so cruel...meanwhile he's a pic of Mad Dog looking much happier than he probably feels right now......(unless of course he's been crashing his yogurt lorry in the lap dancing bar:D).

Seems a long time ago now.
To make up time, doing two legs of the TAT in one day in order to gain time in Colorado.

370 miles of Oklahoma dirt roads in 100 deg F +

....only me!!:D

Thanks for a fantastic trip, trip of a lifetime for me really and therefore the group couldn't have been a better bunch of guys.
Every guy was very different from another yet the group seemed to 'work' from what i saw.
There were many great moments on the trip and plenty of 'oh shi'ite!!' moments. :thumb2:thumb:thumb

Thanks to all the guys for their contribution to making the trip what it was,ALL of you's.

I still haven't had a chance to check out the video footage yet.

BLUE(UK) Your presants on the trip made it for me, you are a proper person.

you have a calming influance and I do hope the freindship continues.

You just need to sort out those off road skill, the bike is far to powerfull, concider a drop in cc`s.
