They were all very well behaved young people.

The lady to the left of shot we caught up with, I asked if she was ok as she was struggling. First outing after double hip replacement. “ I`m just taking my time dear” . Good on ya missus.

Last of the snow went quickly so very wet roads, slushy patches here and there over Burbage where the sun don’t shine.
The much developed Hill Descent Control that I have a Patent Pending was useful twice, soon to be appearing on Dragons Den. Crap Video follows.

61 plate car has slid off the road here, was a patch of ice just before it.

Down to Hathersage and then Edale, stop for a photo or two. Wind chill factor quite high so not stopping long. More B roads to cover.

Off home through Barlow. Top little roads.

Trundled round from local knowledge. Will attempt to post a couple of routes . Low to High Level roads all do able on GS .

They just need a wash and brush up when finished.

Love the pics, I only normaly only see these roads as I flash from one green lane to another - :thumb

Hey Andrew, I was about to start seeing if I could plot your route on the map then thought - do you have a satnav route file you could/wouldnt mind sharing?

Are you on normal (as in non knobblie) tyres? - I ride a G650GS and am plucking up the courage to hit a few muddier tracks but it feels a bit of a leap of faith at times!

Thanks,

Sam

Great day out Grommit :thumb

Sam , standard tourance tyres, any real mud can soon overwhelm tread.
Best thing you can do is wait till SkyGod does a big bike trail ride. He is a good ride leader (incoming :hide ). The roads I have ridden have little in the way of mud.
Bottom of my post are two attachments for the roads i`ve just ridden Mapsource/Garmin Gdb routes. Hope this helps.:thumb

Hi Andrew.

Sorry, I was on my phone last night and missed the links completely!

Just stumped up the money to become a member here to access the downloads (thought it was about time :thumb), but I am getting an 'Invalid Attachment specified' when I click the link?

Would you mind checking them? I will PM you my email address to in case you can't fix 'em and you can email them on to me.

Thank you!

Sam
