Rant indeed

First for those from NI. Who do we now think we are? We are a small part of the UK somewhere off the coast. To have the holder of the most powerful office in the world visit is an honour which most small places like us would appreciate. On a purely economic basis the publicity is priceless.

To the rest ask yourself how you would feel if your rude and intolerant comments were made about the leader of your own country remembering that the office of president is in UK terms like Queen and PM in one.

I am no fan of the US but even less of a fan of bad manners and ingratitude.

Wait till I tell you this sonny! Obviously Banbridge is far enough away that you weren't affected!

There wasn't anyone in the traffic chaos that gave a feck WHY George Bush was here and you obviously weren't trapped with the other 40,000 people and the 5000 officers that had to take shite off folks cos the folks wanted to go home and poor plod was only doing what he was told! From the many that I've spoken to that were detailed THey really couldn't have given a feck either!

I was the first car at the roundabout and only had to move 50 feet and I'd have missed it all! Instead I had to endure 40 fckin minutes of worrying could my sis in law make it to collect my wee girl from school without gettin caught in that shite!

As far as I could se it was a propoganda stunt and the sooner the war monger is out of office and the world settles again the better!

Maybe it won't cost me £21.50 to fill my bike FFS!

Well i dont "NOW" think im any different than i have always been, a law abidding, hard working family man, who has an opinion. Now i agree that the so called leader of the free world when he visits should be welcomed by our elected representatives, thats part of there jobroll, especially as this was an investment trip. what it will yield in the future i dont know.
As far as George bush is concerned (now my opinion, of which i'm intitled too) he's a war mungering idiot, who had a score to settle for his bumbling father, how many innocent Iraqis have to die not to mention the hoard of british and foreign troops out there? Only for control of some oil in the bleak looking future, this is the only reason, no matter how you sell it, these so called democratic prohets are there in the first dammed place. If america hadn't poked its big nose into the middle east in the first place and funded state terrorism in Palistine and Afganistan, sponsoring the likes of saddam and bin ladin and countess despots around the world in the process the would not be in the state its in. Vast amounts of money feeding the current war machine would have seen countless lives saved in Dafore and countless other dissaster zones around the world, but hey its not about helping ordinary people its about greed, always was, always will be.
So yes i do have a gripe with George Bush, not for coming to Northern Ireland ( dont give a shit either way) but in all conciousness i do not agree with his doctrine. Democracy is a fine thing no doubt, but its not for all at the present time and should not be forced upon those who don't want or trust it. If Other contries meddled in our afairs they would be told in no uncertain terms to feck off so, Why are we supprised when some contries resist the interferance of america. I think America has its own troubles, more than enough to get its own yard clean before attempting to clean up someone elses. War creates jobs, dissasters create the opertunity to shove your way of life onto someone else it's totally alien too, and armed resistance creates military madmen, how many times has this been the case throughout history? Just my thoughts and i really don't give a toss if anyone agrees or dissagrees.
Thank you and goodnight!
Im getting bored now so bye for now!

falcoron clears the fog . .

. .'a country where the dumbness of the many plays into the scheming of the few' - - where did I read that?

Just what in the Sam Hell does that enigmatic comment mean??????????
I, like Jaythro sat in that bloody farce of a traffic jam just so that GDUBYA could go on his merry bloody way through a country that he probably did'nt even know he was in..............
He's a war monger.................hillbilly.....redneck.....S.O.B.............

:aidan

Ironically the description of Bush seems to indicate a similarity with some of your intolerance.

Its right that I wasn't stuck in the traffic but that is because I listened to the news worked out where he was going and when then planned accordingly.

Now Now Noodles Calm yerself or you'll end up like me all gnarly and growlie and incessantly irritable! BUT I agree with ya what ya said!

Well Bully for you Mr DG unfortunately for us mere mortals who knew only POTUS was here but had not anticipated his wish to avoid hundreds of traffic cones and for him to descend down the Prince Charles Way and on past Cloughfern and Whiteabbey hospital before he turned right and headed to Belfast again

I needed 10 seconds to clear that roundabout! That was All ! and I didn't hear any traffic reps till I was stopped and by that time it was too late! If it ha dbeen 10 minutes that would have been cool but 30 before and 10 after was waaaaaaaaaaaayyy out of order!
