Bit of fitting advice pls..

Picked up some bits from former owner of my 08GSA last night. Still got a MudSling, frame guards and Throttle P cover to fit.
Basically got a placcy bag of nuts and bolts, those three and no instructions. So, with appropriate piss-taking, am I right in assuming the following?

- Frame Guards: they look like they just cable tie on.

- Mudsling - Only presents one way, which is helpful for people trying to do something technical as they enter their third week off the cigs (zero processing power left ). Cable-ties on either side where the piece fits against the frame, and then the two screws in the "top" go in under the seat, using the screws already there which don't seem to do anything but probably do? That right?

- Throttle P protector - Doesn't look like it can simply be fitted using the screws and washers on the throttle p as it wouldn't be far enough away to fit, so I'm presuming it requires something else to make it snug?

Re Mudsling - you got it right. Have you removed the OEM cover for the rear shock - it tends to foul the Mudsling - well it did on mine.

It was ok on mine I didn't have to take that cover off.
The screws that came with the mud sling are a little longer than the ones in there to start with.
But seeing as it came off your bike in the first place he probably put the Mudsling screws back in.

OEM part - no, was "dry" testing the MS over the top of it - seemed to be room - but haven't made any attempt to actually fit it for real yet.

Just half fitted it with the OEM cover in place and dropped it off the centre stand. It fits, technically, but it's way, way too close. I reckont he OEM needs to come off. Have another look at yours Rob, see if it's fouling the bottom of the OEM guard - looking at mine sat here i can't believe it isn't....

I have a small dent in mine from where the OEM has fouled the Mudsling - I noticed it first after a weekend away two-up camping so it may be worse with weight. Easy to take the OEM off and also makes it easier to keep the rear shock clean.

Yep. Although the screw which faces the off-side rather than the back, on mine was sheared, helpfully, so i won't be putting the OEM back on in a hurry!

MudSling looks the part.

Now just need to get my head around this throttle protector before the call of the pub becomes too strong....
