Bit of polish needed

What gorgeous patina. In these uncertain times might it not be more cost-effective to get it mechanically spot-on, clean it and sell it? The new owner might then be more inclined to ride it to St. Tropez and back, rather than riding a freshly restored one to St. Tropez and back and wiping £4-5,000 off its value.
You may well be right,
But,
I’m hoping to keep this one and sell the/7 to finance the restoration,
The bike has stood for many years so it will need a good seeing to,
The wheels need refurb,
The engine, box and bevel are unknown so it’s coming apart over winter.
The photos make it look better than the reality :thumb

Back to the 80/100/7
I’ve done away with the cable/undertank mastercyl,
I’ve also fitted single pull throttle cable with splitter,
New clutch switch,
The rest of the cables are new,
Rebuilt carbs,new rubbers.
Later 85 wiring loom :thumb

Saw this bike yesterday. It looks amazing.

Mike's OCD for quality shines out :thumby:

Last few parts for the bike are on order now,
New starter,headlamp and flasher relays,
I’ve also ordered a new dual output coil to free up some space for the relays.
Once they arrive and I’ve finished the wiring off it’s good to run.
With any luck the paintwork will be back this week as well so the bike will run again for the 1st time in 29 years:thumby:
I was going to keep this one ,the plan was to ride it to Spain and attend the colombres rally,
But the arrival of the 90s has made me change the plan ,I’ll be keeping that to do the rally on:D
So if anyone is interested in a fully restored classic now would be a good time to contact me,cos if I take it home and park it next to the 90 i may change my mind:green gri

What's the finish on the frame Mike? (I know it's coated, not painted) It looks quite glossy?

Mikey why is it ever time you post or I visit your chum Andy's place I want to go home and burn down my shed????

Big day tomorrow,
I’m picking the bodywork and tank up:D
Just come to fit the new seat cover,it’s damaged:blast

Just looked back to beginning of this thread, it's hard to believe it is the same bike.
A brand new old bike, stunning
