I've had issues with my Zumo 550 on the RT. The canbus connector underneath the headstock seems to have stopped working. More bizarrely, I tried powering the GPS in the car mount via the accessory socket in the fairing and a suitable Hella / BMW - cigar lighter socket adapter. NO WORKEE! Yet, a second or so later, a tyre pump works fine via the same arrangement! Surely the tyre pump will draw more current than the GPS?
And yes, the GPS works fine in the car!
The GPS also works fine if it's powered directly by the bike's battery by the way!
Is the canbus "in the huff" with the Zumo and hence spurns it wherever it connects? Yes, I know that sounds daft but logic dictates it must be something along those lines? Can the canbus recognise an output and switch it off?
