black and silver paint for frame and fittings

i need to sort out the surface rust and paint the rear frame. what colour code black paint is the frame and what colour code are the silver fittings, ie foot brake pedal, screen mounts, crash/engine bars etc. I heard hammerite silver and black is near enough......

Can't comment on the black but the silver is a good match for frame and engine.

Hammerite smooth gets harder over time and then chips all too easily. It also can't easily be over coated. The top coat either won't stick or reacts with the Hammerite.

I used it on car body stone chips then had a nightmare of reacting paint when I went to respray the panel. On a classic bike exhaust hanger the Hammerite got peppered with stone chips.

I used striaghforward aluminium paint on footrest hangers. Not a good enough match for something like the swing arm but excellent for ancilliary bits.

I thought a simple flatting off would be fine. But the paint seems to be a cross between polyurethane oil paint and cellulose/acrylic. Flatting it off cause the solvents in car body refinishing paint to soften the hammerite. Seriously not good when I'd used the hammerite to fill stone chips.
