What's best to use on my black engine to tidy it up after winter riding. It's starting to look a bit scabby. Is black stove polish a dumb idea :nenau

Long time since I had a bike with a black engine. But I used to wash it spray it with wd40 and buff it off with a cloth. Looked nice and smelt nice when it warmed up. :)

Pledge or Mr Sheen type furniture poish keeps my back engine very nice - much better than the propriety "back to black" ( no not Back in Black - there was an album :thumb )

Kiwi Black boot polish.
Honest! Really cheap, brush on or use a cloth, buff up with a brush, lasts and protects (it is only a coloured wax after-all).

Use it on black plastic parts too, hand shields, beak extention, front mugguard etc.
