black engine..what year?

I saw a 1150 with a black engine and gearbox today but it had a private number plate...It got me wondering.... in what year did they start making black engine's and gearboxes, Ive only ever seen ali ones...Tosh

You could get 1100's with a black engine... I just don't think many people ordered one or knew about it.

Have had two GS`s from new with the black engine. It was a no extra cost option and in my experience the finish is better and longer lasting than the silver version.

just ordered a new set of parallel punches to get at that bloomin broken spoke thats stuck solid
