Black Forest Roller Coaster

Hi Girls and Gals,

Not really sure if this is the right section to post this in but........

We have just come back from 2600 miles around Europe, Black Forest, Swiss Alps, Italian Alps, Monte Carlo, Provence etc etc etc. Great trip.

I will post a ride report soon but wanted to point to anyone going to the Black Forest MUST visit Todtnau. There is the most amazing rollercoaster there, probably mentioned in the forum before. Have a look at the link to youtube and hear Mrs Phantom having the ride of her life!!! My hands were no where near her......honest!!!!!

In answer to Newboys question about what did we did for the rest of the day.....I did what any fella does after a ride like that!

I had a cigarette then turned over and went to sleep!!!!

Wife and I were staying near here - also in July, between 4th and 11th - maybe took pic during your descent

If Mrs Phantom had seen that view BEFORE, she would NEVER have gone on it!

Interesting that you were having a beer and looking at the coaster from Todtnau village. Good job I didn't have a beer BEFORE either, she would never have had a ride like she did! I dont seem to be able to give her a good time any more after a beer or two! She says it is my age!!! Ah well...........

I went on a similar one at Bad Durnberg which is near Berchestgarten and its supposed to be the longest one in Germany. I asked my son to head off first and wait for me round the corner so I could film him. I can't explain how steep it was in parts but brilliant fun. My camera ran out of memory on the card about 2/3 the way down but you will get the just. They are called Roddelbarns
