Hi has any one had any experience with the BLACK WIDOW EXHAUST system as they seem to be good value for the money.

Alan

Many systems are interchangeable. I mean for e.g. you could use Remus headers with an Akra can/silencer or vice versa.
You could wait and see what comes along used and end up with branded kit that's easier to resell when you need to.

Sent somehow.

To be honest, nothing black widow make is good quality. There headers are often found to make a right mess of a bikes fueling. Cbr600's and Blackbirds are horrendous when their headers are fitted. I know thats irrelevent for a can for a gs, but its a sign of there design quality, or lack of testing etc.
Much better to look at something like Fuel, a much nicer and british made alternative.

Thanks for the comments so far , I have looked at the fuel site and they dont list my year of bike as I have a 2007 single cam and the earlyst model they list is 2010 onwards.

I would hang around and pick up something from a more known and proven brand on the forum secondhand, or eBay. I bought a Remus titanium end can for less than a fuel or black widow.

Just don't try to mix and match TC and SC silencers and headers. They're not compatible.
You can fit complete systems from either.

I should have mentioned that. The exhaust outlets and mountings are all the same but the TC has space in the link pipe for the flappy valve. You could fit a full SC system to the TC but not mix TC and SC parts.

Ok thanks for all the comments , more to think about.

Why not contact Fuel and ask ?

I had one of my cars used as a template, by someone else, as they hadn't done a 4•0, just the 3•6 and 3•8. They had car for a week and I paid approx 50% of now retail cost.

They'll need a bike to make the first one, and there will be a market, in the future, for those who are unwilling to spend big bucks on an akra etc on a lower valued bike.

Best value headers are Keihan in my opinion. My bike was the test mule for them and after 10 years and 140,000 miles they still look good when I can be bothered to clean them. They are identical bore etc as the OEM's and retain the balance pipe at the front. I've had various end cans on it over the years and as I mentioned before, the Beowulf with baffle in is my favourite as it produces a really nice exhaust note.

With teh aboce products, you get high quality without paying for the name.

I put a Black Widow Can and link pipe on my 2012 GS two weeks ago and it's lovely.
No bad fuelling problems, but can certainly feel the difference in torque, etc.

Their cans and pipes are made by Delkevic for them.

Cheers

I had a pair of Beowulf Tri-oval on my previous bike. MoT tester said, "Hmm its a bit loud" (no baffles - oops). He revved the engine and said "but it sounds fab". "It's a pass". TBH it wasn't bad until going full bore then it was well into ear plugs territory.
