Blackberry-to-iPhone email address Q?

I currently have been using BB's for many years happily but am feeling the urge to move over to the 'other side'. So have some probably dumb-ass questions for those that have done the same.

Q1 is this - My BB (on contract not PAYG) currently has a dedicated e-mail address ([email protected]) which having trawled round the VF forum, I cannot find any info on server addresses, let alone how to find a password etc. I can access it online on the Blackberry internet service page, but not configure anything much, so is it a dedicated BB email address??

Q2-So if I were to stay with VF and jump to an iPhone what happens to this e-mail address, do I get to keep it? Do I get a new different iPhone dedicated one?

I have several other e-mail accounts and am happy to set up something specific for a new phone but it would be useful to keep this one.

Could G-mail harvest all your mail to a @gmail account? Then you could access Gmail from your iPhone and have all the mail from your various accounts in one place.

Would be handy if it worked.

I already use a Gmail address to do this to my BB pretty much, it was more whether anyone had any knowledge of the phone specific address & whether it is the same on a VF iPhone (& if you get one) as it appears to be on a VF BB, if that makes sense
