Ok you South West GSers, fancy a great pint of ale and a spot of tasty nosh? Then why not have an evening get together in a really fantastic tucked away country pub, with the option of a sleep over in a super tranquil campsite in the middle of The Blackdown Hills?

Well, i've found a place, liaised with the Beaver Headed One to hopefully avoid clashing with other things going on, picked a weekend when i'm not working, and have this date available. There is an alternative date at the beginning of September, where i can run the meet again if people fancy.

So, if you just fancy a ride out to the pub for a pint, or maybe for some really good food too, we'll be at The Merry Harriers around 1900 hrs onwards on Friday 22nd July.

If you fancy dropping by and would like to drink rather more than a pint, there's a lovely campsite 400 meters down the lane for you to stagger back to and sober up. Camping is £5 per tent per night with leccy hookup for another fiver. Ring Tristran on 01823 421630 and say it's the motorcycle group. It's a small site in a rather special location that can accommodate a small group. Tristran does have access to an overflow field, owned by the farmer next door, should this meeting prove popular and take off in the future.

If those that want to stop over would like to be taken for a spin around the local area on the Saturday, i'll be on hand to oblige.

As stated, this is a regional meeting for a pie and a pint, with a little extra laid on if required :aidan

Please let me know if;
a. you're coming?
b. you're eating?
c. you're camping?
d. you'd like a ride out on the Saturday?

If you're planning on dining it may be worth booking your table. If the weather's great, there's a lovely beer garden that'll accommodate us all.

This is a first meeting at this location for the SW mob and the Landlord and Campsite owner have been open and welcoming to a group of bikers making use of their facilities. It would be great to see a few people attend to get this meeting up and running, foster a good relationship with the Pub and Campsite owners, and maybe see this become a regular event in the calendar. :beerjug:

I only mentioned a motorcycle group to the Landlord and Tristran, will inform him when i book my table that the UKGSer name will probably be used by people when booking in.:thumb

Well, due to a rear suspension failure, i'm off the bike at the moment. Off to MH Racing to hopefully get it sorted in the morning. If anyone's thinking of turning up at the pub tomorrow evening, give me a shout on here and i'll come up in the car, otherwise i can reschedule for the first weekend in September, if there's any interest.

Surely not an 1150 broken down :augie:augie:augie:augie:augie
