It will be the usual format Dinner bed and breakfast. Budgeting £20 depending on how many are attending.

Easter weekend

OK so thats the hall confirmed....they were worried that a party not known to be the cleanest were going out on Sat am and that the cleaners may not have had time to properly clean and do the beds....I've told her not to worry and that most bring sleeping bags anyway. So we're in.

The let is £12 per bod and a minimum of 12= 144 which I will pay and get back off yous.....(just for Wapping) on the day....so lets get a few more bodies...Its always been a good night out.

Scotrider's perfectly valid Q reminded me that not everyone on here has experienced or even heard about our regular get togethers at the Blackwater Hall, near Bridge of Cally, Glenshee. We've been meeting there 2 or 3 times a year for about 5 years now. It's a great venue for our needs. No near neighbours to worry about noise. Excellent facilities for our needs including a recently build shower block and toilet extension. There is bunkhouse bedding for about 32 people. Duvets and pillows are provided.

Our original event here was mistakenly billed as being at Blacklunans Hall (a nearby village). And that's how it came to be known for evermore as "the Blackloonies Doo".

The format is simple. We meet up at a local hotel for lunch (The Strathardle Inn) then head over to the hall for about 4pm. Then get fired into the bevy (bring your own) and talk shite until bedtime.

Bhud is mum and looks after us superbly in respect of eats ably assisted by Gerry Watts who happens to run a nearby estate. Gerry often kills a deer for our culinary delights. The meal is washed down by whatever wine and beer you happen to fancy and bring.

It costs circa £20 to £25 for your bed and breakfast (unlimited tea and coffee to wash down a couple of bacon rolls) and that price includes your evening meal on the Saturday night.

All you have to do is turn up and bring whatever alcohol (or non alcoholic drink) you fancy. We're a friendly lot and you'll be made very welcome.
