Blackpool digs recommendation anyone?

Hi,

At very short notice I'm coming up to Blackpool tomorrow and need a double room in the centre (ish) for one night.

Anyone know of a good hotel / B&B they'd recommend that might have a vacancy?
Lastminute .com come up with three, including the Hilton @ £169

Don't mind paying over £100 for the right place but the Hilton has hit-and-miss reviews?

Hilton was fine last time I stayed but it wasnt my money (and was a few years ago before the corporate tight @rses took hold)

No 1 is highly rated, so is the bigblue but that's owned by the Pleasure Beach, wether there are any vacancies i don't know.... illuminations are on

Hilton's not exactly in the centre. It's about a mile north. Sorry, but I can't help with town centre recommendations. There are a few places on the outskirts that aren't so bad.

We stayed at The New Hampshire in the end (phoned Tourist Info and got a cancellation)
