I have just about managed to get the head light level right for crusing around and replaced the bulbs for the philips blue vision which is fine, but i have a huge problem when excellerating or travelling a little faster (throttle wide open). I blind everyone in front of me when on dipped, and on main beam, I swear I can see pilots gestating at me, and I can't see a thing on the road.
Is this why people add extra lights? or is there something else i can do. I can only presume that during the power delivery through the shaft drive this squats the back end.
I have been thinking of changing the headlight unit to the twin unit show on the Tourtech site as I hate the idea of loosing a bulb at night (which I have found to be very in-convinient)

Adjuster ?

There's a little adjuster thingy behind and below the headlight. Pull the clip and wind the light down a bit. Failing that (or if already tried) jack up the preload on your rear suspension to pie-eater level and eliminate 'squat'

I do keep increasing bit by bit on the pre-load but it's starting to feel a bit hard, but I'll keep trying.

Does anyone have any opinions on these twin headlight conversions?

If they're doing that you really have f....d them Bikergary! :D

The lever thingy should be horizontal for one-up. For two swing it down. The handbook is not clear on this point.

It the bike sits on acceleration you need to tweek up the pre-load.

Was down on the Isle of Weight last weekend on a bike Rally, the first long trip with full luggage and a pillion.
Set pre-load to max but found on the way back Sunday night I didn't blind to many people, why, well it seemed that the main part of the beam shone right over the top of the cars, though the rest of it was good enough to ride with at night. tried main beam but gave up as I could see a thing that was on the road in front of me ( lit up the tree tops nicely).

I have played with the Pre load even with it full (made the ride a bit hard though) but would still squate under acceleration. even droped that lever on the back of the light.. no difference.
So what does cause it to squate so much undr acceleration or high speed riding?

Bikeregary. Was that the one over at Atherfield Holiday Camp?? I live over on the island and could hear the music & engines from miles away, sounded bloody good.

Yep that was the one, great weekend, especially on sunday with the scorching weather... couldn't stay off the bike (even though I did get lost at one point)
