don,t suppose anyone,s got a spare £500 they,d borrow me,its for these very bling schnitzer wheels.i,ll pay it back HONEST.i,ve already asked the misses and she everso politely told me boll---scheers craig
I looked at them chap - because yes I would too. However there is one big problem with them and thats the seller.
I would want them tested before I handed over any money. The seller is a breaker in London of ill repute. He specialises in Cat C and D write offs. And has been known to 'mislead' people. How do I know this? because he mislead me. I bought my bike from him through Ebay and was only later I discovered its full history and pedigree, None of which has been a huge concern but had the bike not been a keeper then I would've felt seriously let down.
I know of people who have bought complete dogs from them. Bikes that have been thrown together from 'bits' - documents that don't 'gel' with the bike concerened. all sorts.
So.. its a case of buyer 'seriously' beware. £500 is a bargain - but not from them. from them I would want them tested to make sure they were perfect before I handed over a penny. The brand new tyres make them look even more suspicious to my eyes. Put on brand new tyres and thats an instant distraction.
Incidentally - he advertises all the time on ebay and everything has one thing in common. "this was on or fitted to or came from (delete as appropriate) my R1100GS...' - he has a lot of bits on his GS. rubbish of course. he's a breaker.
Lastly I dont like the idea of 'secret bidders' far too easy to up the bidding to get a better price and no way of knowing if this has been done.
definitely dodgy.
Keep your eyes peeled on this site (and yes - ebay) and I have no doubt a great pair of wheels will turn up. Other owners have used wheels from other BMWs with great results. you could always go down that route. Wheels from Mot/Bins/ or sherlocks.
motobiker, thanks mate.i,ve not got the money anyway but your advise could have saved me or any fellow tosser reading this thread wasting a fare few quid on what potentially could be a dodgy set of bent or maybe even dangerous set of wheels thats one seller i,ll be deleting off my favourite sellers list cheers

They could be perfect. But as I say. the only way to find that out is to travel to there yard. on Roding Lane woodford. and see for yourself. And I would definitely do that rather than pay via paypal for instance and have them arrive through the post.
