Next time your blinkers stop working, before tearing the bike apart as I did, just try to connect them directly to a 12V battery. In my case, 2002 1150GS, they were not working.
Bulbs were good, so had to go deeper to discover that the contact in the bulb holders were real dirty.
It happened only on LH side, front and rear, and only the + part was kind of oxidized.
Doesn't really look bad but it wasn't working, so had to take them off to do a little polish.
Like new. And guess what, blinkers are now blinking.
