Couple of weeks ago we were told its going to be the worst winter in years.
I popped out to Boston yesterday on my 1200, no waterproofs no hearted grips
and only shirt and jumper! Wouldn't have done this last year!

don't care really, I've got a 1200 and visit this little corner of the internet rather than other areas

Nah.. We're just glad when they work, regardless of the weather. If they start, we HAVE to go out for a ride. They may never start again. We can always warm ourselves up in the recovery van on the way home

A couple of years ago, my bikes were all tucked away. Apparently it's all about the jet stream, so it could easily be frost & snow in instead of rain.
