Bloke looking a Bike brought back from Mali - Part II

just curious. If the bike was wrecked, why didn't the owner contact Gerry and tell him not to bother coming down?

I'm not too sure about that to be honest, I think he only realised it was wrecked hours before GerryC arrived.

yes, a sad end to the plan, though I'm sure Gerry will make the best of the adventure :blagblah

I wonder what will happen to the bike? all suggestions/ideas welcomed :augie

I learned of potential head gasget failure enroute to Bamako while in Barcelona airport.
Go on give us an aul update...
I am sitting in London bored to tears :bounce1:bounce1:bounce1
EmmettC (an alledged relation) sent out a head gasget by DHL & I headed for Tombocktu by other means.

So right - I got back to Bamako & took the head off - a gasget will not fix what I found (see picture).

All that said had a great time & covered a lot of ground meeting lots of good sorts & taking lots of pics.
Question; is it appropriate to file a trip report in due course when a bike really did not feature?
