I've just come across this thread so I could have saved you your money Smeggy. On the exhaust of my 1200gs, both downpipes and can, I found the product ineffective. The downpipes were badly "browned off" and the can had small "tar" marks on it, but Blue Job didn't help with either; erhaps I was sold talc?!

Gee, I just got my Blue Job today. Now, I have to say that it has taken off the majority of the blueness. The brown coloured marks/staining it isn't so good at. However, I'll take the time and work at it more vigorously tomorrow. The pipes do look a bit better, so maybe the extra effort will be worth it in the end, but it is hard work.
