R1250 GSA, 11month old, 2800 miles.
Went out for a ride with my daughter yesterday being she passed her full A licence test during the week, albeit she was still on her 125 so a slow bimble around the Suffolk villages.
Travelled about 30 miles and almost home, so I decided to just open the taps a tad on a reasonably open piece of road. Bike picked up as expected, changed up a couple of times, then it felt like the brakes were binding, loss of power. So I closed the throttle and as the bike slowed down I could hear the engine. It was rattling like a 40 a day smokers chest. Something had catastrophically failed 😣. Sounds like it’s coming from the front of the engine but can’t be sure.
Nursed it the few miles home and it’s now on its way back to Sycamore BMW. Oh happy days. This is my 4th GSA and the first problem I have encountered.

Hope its all sorted soon.

Sorry to hear your predicament - Some shift-cam engines do that sir. I think we can predict that a new engine will be required, but I thought this issue had been sorted discreetly, noting yours is such a late bike.

In fairness Sycamore have a good reputation for getting things sorted but it's a good idea to insist on a loan bike, as it usually help add focus.
