Reliving bike trips whilst sat at my desk....
Like coral that spawn and Salmon that migrate, my bike just knew that I had finished one job, and now my bank balance desperately needed another expense, so the fork seal on my left fork, although this effectively means both of them, has blown.

Always been relunctant to touch fork seals in the past. Any different on a Beemer? If it is a job for the Prfessional, anything I can do to reduce the costs (ie fork removal?)

Ignore the workshop manual.

Release fork from top yoke.
Prise seal out gently.
Push fork down to get old seal off and new one on, put old one on top as drift and tap it down with a plastic mallet.
