Cracking pint in Conistone and a good excuse to check the forecast and have a great day out in the Lakes :D

The end:

The beginning:

Early morning ride through the Dales - destination Devils Bridge.

Bloody chilly :yikes

Outdoors at the Bridge or indoors at Settle :nenau

Good decision :bow

It was too early for most buttie stops but this pub ticked all the boxes - but I can't remember it's name :blast

Warmed through, fed and watered - on to Bowness

Time for the ferry

Fantastic day in the lakes - unbeatable scenery :thumb

On to Conistone. The lakeside cafe rebuild is nearly complete as a result of the floods. The views however remain the same.

Hello 2011 :JB :Motomartin :clap :beerjug:

Cooperman

When is the cafe at Coniston due to reopen? I'm going there in April (not on the bike but with the dogs and wife) and I like to use that cafe as it is so near the lake and we can walk there after maybe one or two too many beers in the pub:beerjug:.

It's open and looks brill. Lots of glass walls for good views :thumb2

I didn't take a pic as some of the external paved areas have to be completed and so covered in H&S tape :eek

Otherwise OK - but you could use me as an excuse to stay in the pub :augie

Thanks for that

We had a ride up that way last sunday. The cafe was open and does a very good Cumberland sausage butty and passable coffee. Going again on Tuesday for a couple of nights, will try the Bluebird ale as well this time. Just hope the weather is as good as last week.
