bluetooth clip-on thingy

Looking to buy my first rider-to-pillion comms. ( auto-comm / chatterbox ..)
Looks like bluetooth is the way to go.
But I am concerned about screwing these units onto the helmet.
Has anybody had bad experiance of these ? Do they loosen, or corrude after a while. I'll only be using my bluetooth a few of days each month, the rest of the time I use the helmet for daily commute, so wil not need it.

Are there other recommended products out there that you guys user where the unit sits elsewhere.

I am upgrading from a scala teamset to an autocom next week.

I had no problems with the units marking helmets, and have got no corrosion on the units themselves.

I will be selling the scala units when the autocom is up and running if you are interested.

They don't screw into the helmet, but tighten the clamp, and no, they don't loosen. If you check my news site, top right "Articles", you'll see a list of all Bluetooth units, with links to their reviews.

If you buy the Interphone, which IMO is better than the Scala anyhow, you have the choice of a clamp or sticking a bracket to the lid with sticky backed foam which is both much neater and more secure.

With the main difference being that the Scala has two earpieces (dual-mono, not stereo), whereas the Interphone looks like one.

I had a Scala teamset and it was very good - but I don't like having two earpieces, as I find them all uncomfortable - so why have two when you can have one?

Its certainly A difference.
The main differences (IMO) are it is better put together, and better waterproofed and looks better on your lid.

But I agree, I like having one ear not subjected to the missus, hence able to better keep tabs on whats going on around me.

I agree, one ear peice would suit me better as well, preferably the flat ear pieces ( velcro'd ones)

Have to keep looking, but I do like the Scala team ones.

I got the interphone and its fine. Can't comment on Scala.

I used the sticky pad on my concept but the Mrs has the clampy thing on her carberg (ooer). Both work fine.
