The Bluetooth connection between BMW Navigator devices, for exchanging routes, is usually pretty good. I can't get my Nav VI to talk to my Nav V. At first I thought it was because one or other of the devices was linked to my phone but no. They can sometimes discover each other, sometimes not. Sometimes say that they are connected when they are not and, in any event, Bluetooth route sharing between them is a non-starter.

Very odd.

Hi Lee, yep done all that.

I can establish Bluetooth connections and share routes via Bluetooth quite happily between two Nav V's.

It's when I try to create a Bluetooth connection between a Nav V and Nav VI (and visa-versa) that the cunning plan falls over. For some unknown reason, the two devices are refusing to join themselves together.

did you read the very last bit that says, (and i dont know how true this is ) Routes can only be sent via Bluetooth to another zumo 395, 590, or 595

Bluetooth route transfer works well between my Nav V's each and every time.

I have also Bluetoothed routes from my Nav V to some (not all by any means) non-BMW branded devices.

It's very odd that the Nav V and Nav VI are struggling to link via Bluetooth, let alone then exchange files between them

I've successfully Bluetoothed route files from my 6 to my friend's 5. I had initially tried to pair them, neither would recognise the other. However, going straight into "share by BT" worked fine.

I've told you that the Nav VI is a bag of shite.:rob

You wouldn't have it.:D
