Bluetooth connection with Iphone keeps dropping off?

Hi.

Can anyone assist. Just bought used Nav 5 & have tried on lots of occasions to connect it to my Iphone 6. The Nav 5 finds the phone, & asks for the cooresponding code, both devices locate each other on the screen/s however within 5/20 secs it drops off.

Any suggestions?

I havent down loaded anything onto the phone, do I need to?

Its connected with my Bluetooth Scala fine.

I hope someone can assist.

I don't need the Smartphone app to connect my iPhone 5S with NavV and BMW coms - but the pairing is important - Nav to Helmet and Phone to Nav. You haven't previously paired the phone with the helmet by any chance?

Check both the phone and the garmin are on the latest operating systems.

Can I check: your suggesting Nav to helmet first, then nav to phone - obvioulsy disabling all previous connections?
