Hi,

I'm keen to fit a bluetooth headset to a fullface. I want to connect to the 660so that I can;
(1) Hear 660 route instructions
(2) Make and receive calls from a Samsung bluetooth phone
(3) Listen to tunes loaded on the 660

I'm not interested in intercom functions (billy no mates) or Ipod connectivity or other such fancy stuff.

Can you let me have your experiences / recommendations of what to buy and where to buy from please?

I'm thinking Scala Rider Solo or Interphone F2??

Most important is ease of use. I'm a bit tecnically challenged and so if its not easy to use it will end up in the bin.

Thanks for the help..........

hi i have been using the scala twin pro system and just like cooperman says its good, simple to connect to your 660(mine is paired to a 660)i can say its water proof becouse me and the misses rode thru some horrendous weather in france last year.like cooper man says the music quality lets it down a bit.if music quality is high on your list of priorities i would go for a fixed systemp.p.s. if you get the earphones in absolutely the right place it improves quality alot.:)

As you've plumped for the 660 and want music you require an A2DP compliant headset (full stereo bluetooth).

As to which one A2DP means one of Scala G4, Interphone F4 or Sena SMH-10 (assuming you aren't going for a helmet specific one).

And unfortunately you're going to be paying for all the bells and whistles even if you're not going to be using them. You can buy a solo in any of the above though.

Phone Bluetoothed to Garmin as phone, and whichever headset bluetoothed to Garmin as a headset.

Currently using a Sena as it has a headset specific to allow connection of my in ear monitors and I have playback control via AVRCP (that's for my iPhone 4 not the Zumo which doesn't support this technology).

I was helping Cliff at Two Wheel Trekkers to sell the Sena units at Excel and I am really impressed. I got it to pause and restart the music on the Zumo 660 and also change tracks, so I think there is some AVRCP or similar going on somewhere. :thumb

i currently use a zumo 660, iphone 3gs & scale rider fm. some of the rider bluetooth headsets only come with 1 earpiece which is why i went for the fm as you get 2. the sound quality for music isn't great, but then travelling at 70+ mph nothing is going to be great ( i can still hear it at 70+ ). i was thinking of maybe getting the scala G4 but to be honest at speed i don't think it will be that much better.

Scala fm is now on eBay & I've ordered the G4.
I'll let you know if it's any good once I've tried it

Thanks.

I've gone for the Interphone F4. USD 139.99 + USD 21.49 shipping form Mr Hit (.com) in the States.

A bargain I thought
