Bluetooth Keyboard Problem

I've got a Dell PC with a bluetooth wireless mouse and keyboard. Recently the computer has periodically started to think that the keyboard is in standby mode (sometimes even from start up) and will not react to any keypresses. Batteries ok. No such problem with the mouse.

Anyone else had this prob or know where I should look for a permanent fix?
