Bluetooth or lead Zumo to Autocom

If we are ignoring cost and you want stereo music to the Autocom then combination of isolated lead into Aux 2 and bluetooth dongle into Aux 1 which will work out at about £100.
Part number 1299 will connect the Zumo to the Autocom but with mono only for £38.

Richard will be along in a minute to remind us that the 1299 lead is stereo not mono. The 1298 lead for the 2820 is mono.
The bluetooth dongle + #1314 is preferred by the factory, but the 1299 should also work. If you ring the factory, be specific about what, if any, other equipment, such as iPod or bike-to-bike, you will be using.

Does using bluetooth mean mono music?
If I use a lead AND bluetooth how does the Zumo know to send the voice prompts via bluetooth and the music via the lead? Or is this the preferred way for phone-bluetooth-autocom and then Zumo-lead-autocom.
Surely having a lead and bluetooth defeats the object of bluetooth because you still have the Zumo connected via the lead. Might as well forget the bluetooth and just use one lead.
I was hoping to just have bike power to the Zumo and use bluetooth for the rest.
Obviously it is not as simple as it first appears.

I believe you, it's just in the 5th reply on this thread http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133392&highlight=1299 GS Rich categorically states that 1299 gives stereo.

Well when I rang Autocom they were the ones who told me that using 299 would only give mono and 1314 was the way to go for stereo.
I can not really believe any one from here would say that to be honest as the Part 1299 plugs into the AUX2 socket which is designed for music.....meaning stereo sound. the bluetooth dongles are NOT designed for music so only run on mono so maybe you are getting your wires crossed somewhere.
So for the ultimum set up we always recommend the Bluetooth dongles (part 1273/1276) to handle the phone side of the Zumo only, then a Part 1314 will supply full stereo sound into any of systems either old or new.
The Part 1299's might be dropped from our range as due to being plugged into the AUX2 sockets everytime the mics are opened the callers voice is dropped 50% which due to the low volume the Zumo's offer to begin with does not help hearing the calls. So with the dongles as they are plugged inot the main phone sockets on the system there will be no muting on any phone calls.

I think I am almost there.
Option A, Zumo and no phone: use part no 1314 and that will give me both the stereo music and the voice prompts from the Zumo.
Option B, Zumo with phone: use Bluetooth dongles (part 1273/1276) to link the phone direct to the Autocom.
If I have got it right so far then I only have one more question.
The Zumo has Bluetooth so can I use option A as above with the phone linking via bluetooth to the Zumo?

Option A only lets you hear the Zumo, it won't let you speak on the phone I'm afraid.
