At present i have a Cardo Scala G4 solo which i pair to SWMBO where she has an older teamset cardo unit.

I have been looking at the Cardo Scala G9x as like the idea of being able to use in ear buds over the conventional speakers, so what i would like to know is whats the thoughts whats the best pre-paired set to go with? I have not had experience of sena so wouldnt mind knowing if anyone has used both.

Done a lot of looking around at reviews and nothing i can see that compares them all.

Any thoughts as normal very much appreitated.

Cheers
Mark

I have Sena and can highly recommend them.

Buy a double pack and they come pre-paired.

With the SMH10R that I have, you can by an adaptor cable which you can wire/plug into the wiring in the helmet lining: it leaves you with a pig-tail cable hanging from the sidde of the helmet to allow you to use earbud speakers rather that the speakers you mount in the helmet

I rate the Scalas (used for years now) but would go for Sena now, cos they claim to pair with other makes too.

I have had a g4 Powerset since about 2010. Absolute rubbish from the outset. Replaced twice under warranty and they should have gone back a 3rd time. Loads of problems with comms between the two headsets and the only advice from Cardo support has been to reinstall software, reset, and re-pair everything. On a trip I need to do this at least daily, sometimes at every stop. Strangely though pairing with a phone or other device has always been fine. We gave up with them last year and reverted to an old Autocom system but cables are a pita after Bluetooth. I bought an inter phone F4 today from this very forum so will see how that goes.

The Cardo q1 and q3 sets seem to get good reviews but I decided I wasn't giving Cardo another chance v

Thanks for the feedback folks, i can see that sena have a new one out the 20s but its a hell of a jump in price over the G9x. So might see if i can get a set of the older sena ones, my G4 has always been ok paired to a cardo teamset never had a problem. I recently swapped from tom tom and samsung s3 over to a garmin and iphone5s and have again not had any problems. So for me the cardo are still in my good books but please to get the pros and cons always good.
