Thought I'd start a new thread ref Bluetooth, tried pairing it all sorts of ways with my Nokia 5800, all seems fine until I turn off the Zumo and turn it back on, it just keeps saying connection failed, auto connect just doesn't work so I have to go through the pairing sequence again:nenau

Don't know about the 5800, but my N95 connects every time, first time.

Have you tried deleting the phone profile/device on the Zumo, and re-discovering?

Maybe change the Bluetooth name on the phone - I've had that cause problems before with ghost connections/configurations

tried deleting and reconnecting dozens of times with no joy, when the Zumo is switched on it trys to connect to the phone, maybe 1 in 10 times it succeeds :nenau , when it is connected it's spot on though. Whats this about changing the bluetooth name, the name of the Zumo or the phone?

I'd try both.

As I said, it's odd, but it worked for me on another device.

My Zumo's connected faultlessly to my N95, Parrot SK4000, and SCALA Rider Q2. It seems to rule out the Zumo, so I'd be inclined to look thoroughly at the phone and it's settings, and maybe see if there's a firmware upgrade on the Nokia website.

Could you borrow another phone from someone to eliminate one ot the other?

If that fails, try upgrading the Zumo's firmarw (to v2.80) and see if that helps. I suspect you've already done that, though? Did I see another post about that?

Sorry this is all a bit woolly, but that's how I've always found Bluetooth!

PS did you ever have a Kawasaki?

Yep upgraded to 2.8, renamed everything and still the same, guess it's the phones fault as it does the same with another 5800, have trawled the net and it seems Nokia has done something to the 5800 that makes it a pain to connect to alot of car kits:(
