Now having just ordered a new 660 I was going to get around to working out how to get the Iphone/ satnav/ tunes etc all working wirelessly....or settle for plugging it into the Autocom... without bothering getting the phone sorted..

Has anyone tried this kit yet? I'd like to know what the speaker quality is like... I had a pair of scala riders and the speakers were tinny to say the least....

The whole set up isn't cheap.... Retail for two new C3's is £900, and then add another £600 for the two bluetooth kits

HG have a 20% off everything at the moment, making the whole lot £1200 for the two, and that works out at £120 deposit and £90 per month interest free....

At least I could sell the autocom and 4 helmet set ups to offset some of it :augie

Richest man at the UNIT

you got tooo much money for one or should i say two of them mate,,:rob

It does indeed look the part but £300 notes on top of the helmet put me right off.

Theres a review in here somewhere but I'm still not tempted as like you I have a few hundred quid of Autocom in there and won't get much back on that I think.

That I think is my issue at the moment...The Autocom works with the satnav and the ipod fine, with good sound. I was tempted as finally a bluetooth GPS was on the way to me ....

I could do without my iphone being connected to the system. It looks like it does it all but even with the 20% off the lot £1200 is a bit rich for 2 :(

They've (Schuberth) have played safe by going with Cardo to make the system, widely considered to be the most experienced and successful of BT systems.

However under their own name they are building some very high spec systems and of course theirs are not tied to the helmet like the Schuberth is.

Scala Rider G4 for instance

Rich from coalville has had the full system for a few weeks and recons its great as he can be sat outside the shop on his bike and tell the Mrs to buy him some sweeties lol
No seriously it looks a great bit of kit and he had a good deal off the net and they were delivered next day. All up i think it was about £1200 but i will check thursday night unless your about and want to come visit ... even if your on the FJR i am sure you;ll be welcome.

Cheers Beano

Thanks for the replies :)

Andy's link mentions that the sound quality isn't much good for listening to music... that may irritate a bit ;)

Dean, Not in any hurry but will give you a call in the next few days :thumb

I was thinking of getting one of these G4's

But I see from one of the notes on the review that it only has a 2 year battery life and the internal batteries are non replaceable, even by the factory ? Lot of money for a piece of kit that's only going to last 2 years.

What about the system 6 and their bluetooth Bryn?

Is it the HG interest free offer that seals the deal?

I heard that too. That plus the cost has put me off bluetooth.

One benefit of the bluetooth in the garmin is that you can make receive phone calls (with a bluetooth phone) via the autocom/starcom without taking your helmet off (not tried it yet, but that's how I think it works)

At the moment thats the only thing I can't do with my current autocom set up...I can hard wire the 660 into the Autocom and listen to the ipod... just have to do without phone calls etc if I stay as I am ;)

So you do that then bluetooth the phone to the zumo and you then have the phone. I do that with my 550, 660 is no different in that regard.
